Unsay her Softly Today

Unsay me softly today

You shall have your way

as this ego self,

borrowed like a thumbprint from time,

ceases to chime. Or better said

the echo of the swinging bell

is swallowed back into the cavernous

belly of an intent unrung

Tell her not that this idiot is done,

but take her and wring her until she is unsung.

Unsay her softly today

and blow her to the midnight sun,

heart wide open,

on the breath of Your Rahman
