Salam Yafiah,

Amazing! Eid Mubarak to you dear... In Malaysia we called it Hari Raya Aidilfitri. We are celebrating it on Sunday or Monday, insyaallah. It's a very big celebration in Malaysia as everyone will don up their best traditional dresses and eat traditional delicacies that can usually be found on this occasion alone (:

Your post sent me to discover where the tomb is located. To be sure, I should have known...but the thought occurred that they might have returned him to Spain, where he was born...and since you were in Spain, I thought that the inspiration for this may have been produced by that visit. Damascus it is. Thanks for the picture. Ibn el `Arabi is a big figure in my world too...

Thank you Irving. I'm trying to write from the heart although 'trying' is probably the wrong word as it's more about giving in to the words that want to speak.

Thank you for sharing your poem Zhou. Beautiful!

A Zen Commentary:

I will try to write
using all trees as pens
the seven oceans as inks
but will never finish
the words and manifestation
of Your secrets.
O Allah, bestow me wisdom
and right action
in my short life journey
a stranger in cyber space

albeit irregularly
I will speak through
the heart, the wandering mind
the longing self, the spirit
of Rumi’s bird, the flows of Tao

sporadically with a touch
of Zen subtleness and love
– still I will write
to praise and ask You
for the endless gifts…

On original poem @Kaosar
